Authentication
User provisioning to your API suite is delivered via app registration. We have a set of instructions that will guide you through the process which will require the installation of an App within your Azure Tenant.
There are two types of access we support, both of which are underpinned by OAUTH2 authentication:
Service to Service
Whilst still using OAUTH2 authentication, this is nevertheless a more open level of access to authenticated users. Designed to be used for system integrations where back-office utilities are brought more closely in line with API based interactions. For example, where Zellis HCM cloud is your single source of truth for your employee data but you need to bring other applications and systems into line with that truth, you can use the service to service APIs to drive that closer, real-time integration.
User to Service
For use with tools like Power BI where the Role based security allows you to map to specific end users and take advantage of our Row Level Security. This is a component that enables you to control access to specific Worker records based on the User Profile of the person accessing the content. Where organisations have their own Power BI licenses and generate their own content but want to control access to certain Worker records, this facility is designed to support that.
